King Under the Mountain, Thror sat upon his carved stone throne within halls hewn from the living rock or Erebor.

Ruler of the wealthiest domain in Middle-earth and heir of the line of Durin, gold lay draped upon the great Dwarf King’s shoulders like snow upon the Lonely Mountain’s slopes, with the mighty Arkenstone set above his crown.

Nestled amid the elaborate rings that barnacled his broad fingers was a single blue-gemmed band of gold, exquisitely wrought and possessing a power beyond even the Dwarf Lord’s ken. This gift and heirloom was no mere trinket, but one of the Seven rings of Power given to the Dwarf Lords.

The Ring of Power of King Thror is made from Bronze set with a blue synthetic spinel. It comes in a beautiful gift box made from natural Maple timber with the logos of Weta and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The inside bottom of the box is lined with burgundy red velvet. Like anything made from natural timber, variations in grain and colour will occur and the colour may also change over time. This is an entirely natural process.
